Volunteer Process
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Alum Rock Union Elementary School District! Generous volunteers enrich our schools with their gifts of time and service as field trip chaperones, classroom helpers, book fair volunteers and more. ARUSD strives to provide a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all who enter our doors, which is why we have implemented a strict application and screening process for those who wish to volunteer. Please read through the information below to prepare for your volunteer experience with us. We look forward to welcoming you!
Ready to Volunteer? Follow the Steps Below!
- First, contact the Administrative Assistant at the school you would like to volunteer for, who will start the process for you.
- Once you receive the Volunteer Forms, complete them at your earliest convenience to expedite the process.
- The District will contact you with information on how to set up an appointment for fingerprinting (if applicable), which has to be done at the District Office (note, the school will also indicate whether or not you will be responsible for the fingerprinting fees).
- To prepare for your fingerprinting appointment, please gather your required ID, social security card, and TB Clearance to bring with you.
- The District will contact you once your fingerprints have been processed.
Please allow 2 - 3 weeks for the entire process to be completed.
